Martial arts have long been an integral part of Japan’s cultural identity, representing not only physical skill but values of discipline, respect, and tradition. The Iruma City Martial Arts Festival has been running for over three decades now, and this year's event will be held at the newly renovated Iruma City Martial Arts Hall.

This will be the venue's first large-scale sporting event since renovations were completed, and it offers the public a unique opportunity to experience various martial arts in a state-of-the-art facility. This year’s festival will feature demonstrations of seven different martial arts specialties: Kendo, Judo, Kyudo, Shorinji Kempo, Naginata, Aikido, and Iaido.

Along with the demonstrations, event attendees can participate in trial sessions guided by experienced instructors—and the best part of all is that this opportunity is free, with no prior reservations required.

If you've ever wanted to learn more about Japan's wide range of martial arts, or dreamed of giving them a try for yourself, the Iruma City Martial Arts Festival is worth exploring.
