Akihabara is a part of Tokyo known for its distinct culture, with various stores showcasing the latest electronics, game centers and hobby shops catering to manga and anime fans, and maid cafes that present a fun side to Japan's revered hospitality. The Akihabara Cultural Festival runs for almost the entire month of October, and it shines a light on some unique elements of this much-loved city area.

The full lineup of festival activities can be found on the official website, but it includes things like cosplay performances, trading card game events, and a maid cafe summit that covers maid cafe culture. Please note that some of the events are free, but others have associated entry or participation fees.

The Kanda Myojin Cultural Exchange Center is located under 10 minutes on foot from either Suehirocho Station (Tokyo Metro Ginza Line) or Ochanomizu Station (JR Chuo Line and Chuo-Sobu Line, and the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line).
