NAKED Meets Gaudi Exhibition 2026

Travelers planning a cultural stop in Japan in early 2026 may want to add a striking architectural exhibition to their itinerary. NAKED meets Gaudi Exhibition opens in Tokyo this January as an official event marking 100 years since the death of Antoni Gaudí, the visionary architect behind Barcelona's Sagrada Família.

Held at Terrada Warehouse G1 in Shinagawa from January 10th to March 15th, 2026, the exhibition is the result of a world-first official partnership between NAKED, INC. and the Gaudí Foundation of Art, Design & Architecture. It will later travel to Osaka, with a spring 2026 run scheduled at VS. in Gran Green Osaka. This world tour coincides not only with Gaudí's centenary, but also with the milestone completion of the Sagrada Família's central Tower of Jesus.

The exhibition brings together an unprecedented collection of Gaudí Foundation materials, many shown publicly for the first time. Visitors can view original Sagrada Família blueprints, Gaudí's handwritten notes and letters, and the production tools he used throughout his career. These academically significant works are displayed alongside research exploring Gaudí's creative thinking, offering insight into the ideas behind his distinctive architectural language.

Beyond traditional displays, the exhibition incorporates participatory art experiences designed for both adults and children. Hands-on installations invite visitors to engage with Gaudí's ongoing legacy, including interactive elements inspired by the Sagrada Família's long history as an "unfinished" cathedral built across generations. The exhibition areas trace Gaudí's life from his hometown of Reus to Barcelona, Park Güell, and the Sagrada Família itself.
