This wonderful atmospheric flea market takes place only twice a year, on 15th and 16th December and on 15th and 16th January. No matter which weekday it falls on, the market will be there and it's always worth a visit. It's a lot of fun browsing through the various offers of second hand kimono and yukata, great pottery, old books and much more.

I could have browsed forever through the different pottery items

Some of the stuff can be a bit tacky, but always worth taking a closer look. Your new favorite bowl might hide somewhere there.

Fabrics of all kinds are very well presented too

Second hand yukata (summer kimono) are available for as little as 1,000 yen

Great kimono decoration

A pair of zori (Japanese sandals) will complete your outfit
