Yui Station is a tourist hub located at the foot of the hill from where you can start hiking up to see Ono Castle on the hilltop. Inside the station, there is a free resting place called, 'Daimyo's Retreat'. A Daimyo was a feudal lord, the head of a domain during the Edo Period, today's equivalent of prefectural governor. However, these days anyone can be a governor, but back then only descendants of samurai who did a great job in the Sengoku Period could assume the position of Daimyo. So, to be able to take a rest at 'Daimyo's Retreat' should be a privilege and honor. Anyway, it's free to use, so don't miss taking a rest in feudal lord style if you ever come to Ono Castle Town!

Some trees in the garden were changing color from green to red.
I saw a man lying down on the floor, peacefully taking a nap, so I refrained from disturbing him and panned the camera the other way!
Can you see the shoes on the right side in front of the sliding doors? You can enter the retreat from here, too.
Entrance hall of 'Daimyo's Retreat'. As you can see from how many shoes are in the shoebox, only a few people were using the retreat.
At the far end, firemen were taking a break in the corner of the garden
