If you can't make it to the mountains of Niigata this summer for the Fuji Rock Festival, this might just be the next best thing. For two weeks in June, Japan's capital will transform into a little slice of Naeba with the return of FUJI ROCK WEEK at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu—a free, music-filled celebration that brings the spirit of Japan’s iconic summer event right to the heart of the city.
Running for several years now, the festival features a fortnight of live performances, DJ sets, hands-on workshops, official merchandise, and limited-edition drinks, which are all curated with the energy and vibe of Fuji Rock in mind.
If you're warming up for the real Fuji Rock Festival in July or just looking for a music-filled afternoon in the city, FUJI ROCK WEEK at Midtown Yaesu is a great way to celebrate the season with sound, culture, and creativity, all without leaving Tokyo.
For the full lineup of activities throughout the event, please visit the official website here. Please also note that while the event itself is free, some of the hands-on workshops do have additional charges. Bring yen if you plan on making any purchases or participating in any additional activities.
